I am someone who has a crazy busy mind, it’s just how I’ve been operating for the most part of my life. I’m also a productivity junkie, where I see time as something that I should make the best use of for “doing” something.
My perspective has changed a lot in the past few years, however, many times I am still caught up in this old pattern.
These days… I felt a bit restless. Then, I caught myself… I was wondering why I felt so much in a rush.
So, on last Saturday morning, I decided to have a slow morning instead..
Well, a slow breakfast.
I turned on my favorite morning playlist on Spotify, Breakfast Magic.
I decided to cook nasi goreng for my breakfast ~ something that I haven’t done for quite a while..
I danced while cooking..
I made my cup of tea just the way I liked it..
I took time to prepare my space for eating..
I prayed and blessed my food..
Then, I enjoyed my breakfast slowly…
I didn’t do anything else apart from eating..
I watched the beautiful Jakarta sky through the window..
I looked at my happy plants in the balcony,
I realized how beautiful is the present moment..
Life is good..
According to this book, Njuta , which loosely translates to “enjoying” or “delighting in,” is the Swedish art of savoring the moment ~ It’s all about deeply enjoying the little things in life. This can be applied to every area of life from daily rituals, creating comfortable homes, nature, meal times, to celebration with family and friends.
I love this a lot.
So, if you’re always ‘busy’ like me, my invitation for you this week is to find those little moments in your life.
How or when do you think you can slow down this week?
I believe happiness can be found in the smallest thing.
My wish for you is that you remember to slow down once in a while and appreciate life a little bit more.
Life is beautiful indeed.
❤️✨

With love,
Tri
