A dinner for two

As some of you already know, I teach part-time at a private university in Jakarta. This semester I’m teaching the Digital Branding & Marketing subject.

It’s been 7 years now and I really enjoy teaching. I get to share my knowledge and catch up with the industry at the same time. I also love the interaction with my students!

Look at them, aren’t they cute or what? 😄

So, anyway.. as a coach and personal growth enthusiast myself, I really like to integrate into my teaching practice. I usually ask them some fun (and sometimes provoking) questions at the beginning of my lecture.

This week I ask them,

I told them not to try to overthink it, there’s no right or wrong. Some interesting answers came up, from Ahmad Dani to K-pop idols. Fun!

And.. surprisingly, the most common answer is a family member. From dad, mom, brother, grandfather, late grandmother.. they said haven’t had dinner with them for a long time (and some have already passed away) and they miss them.

I told them, if they’re still around, that’s your homework. 🙂

.

.

You see, it’s funny how many times we overlook the people around us who we love the most, and yet, we give less attention.

I myself, am guilty as charged. I realized I haven’t taken my parents for a nice dinner for quite some time and I’m determined to do so more often.

So, how about you?

Feel free to share with me if you feel called.

My wish for you is that you always remember to celebrate life with your loved ones.

Life is meant to be celebrated together. ❤️✨

With love,
Tri
