2021: Love and Connections

I remember at the beginning of the year I welcome 2021 with so much joy and excitement, it did not fail. I found the love for myself that I have been looking for, I learned to let go and forgive, and give myself permission to speak and be my authentic truth. Sounds amazing right?

Let me tell you something. I had many low seasons too, and I shed tears way too many times. For sure, I had my ups and downs, well it is life, isn’t it? In fact, as I’m writing this I’m actually going through a low season. The universe has never failed to surprise me in the most unexpected way. However, I believe the way I experience things has forever changed. I can see myself responding, not reacting. Well, at least most of the time. I definitely feel that I can move through life more gracefully and with ease, as I always wanted to. I am not perfect, but I knew in my heart that I am making progress.

I am still learning in this school of life. Aren’t we all?

If I can sum up what is 2021 looks like for me, it would be LOVE and CONNECTIONS. Why? Because in this very year I found myself meeting so many beautiful souls across the globe that has been nurturing me in this journey of healing and growing. I found unconditional support and love from others.

Don’t get me wrong, it’s not that my existing friendships weren’t fulfilling, it’s just I became more aware of which relationships really nurture and help me grow. For the most part, we’re still friends, like with two of my best friends from junior high, my good friend Siti, and my work friends. But some others, we just grew apart, and that’s okay. That is life, people come and go, and we can always cherish them when they are in our life and thank them for all the joy and lessons they bring into our life.

The connections and friendships that I found this year is rather unique…

It all started with my Mindvalley journey. When I joined in November 2020, my goal was all about self-improvement. I wanted to “fix” myself and my life, and well, wouldn’t it be nice if I can also meet some like-minded people? Though it had never been my primary goal, what happened next blew my mind. Throughout the year I found the most fulfilling friendships that I could only dream of.

Through Mindvalley, I met my soul sister Katrina, exactly one year ago today (happy one-year anniversary for us! ❤). We met at one of the courses, Duality, where we learn about energy work (we are still learning together!) and we instantly became best friends. There is no week, now, the day goes without her. Katrina has witnessed my growth, and also some of my darkest moments. She has been my rock. We heal, learn, and grow together. She is one of the kindest and most intelligent person I have ever met in my life, I just love her energy deeply. While Katrina lives in the US, our communications are mostly through video calls, and that’s okay. I am so grateful to have her in my life. I can’t wait till the day we can finally meet in person and hang out!

From the Duality class, I also met some other beautiful souls who are now become really good friends. We have this little “energy family” group where we share and support each other journey, Katrina is here too! And that’s all being said, we also have so much love and laugh ~ I really love our group energy. They have been my rocks too. May and Katrina were always there for me, holding me space for days when I was down recently. Anil is just like a father for me, he taught me to release my limiting beliefs and take action. He also taught me to trust the Higher Power more, and he just kept pushing me forward (lol). And Sergio.. he is just so fun and knowledgeable, we learn a lot too from him! And I will never forget the day we had one of this partner’s practices where he said he saw me in the form of an angel! Made my day forever 😁

My soul family..

Since we are in different parts of the world, obviously we talk mostly on Zoom. However.. guess what, I finally met May a couple of weeks ago in Singapore during my trip! Oh, it was surreal, we are really friends for real. We spent the whole day together, enjoying time, having coffee.. sitting near the river, and basically just walking around and talking. Loving the day!

There are soo many souls that I feel so grateful to meet in Mindvalley, especially after I became a regional Ambassador for the Indonesia network. The net is just getting wider and wider, and what is so lovely is that I can really feel the love that everybody has for each other. It’s always been my dream to connect with like-minded people, so this is really like a dream come true. Sending love and light to each other; holding a safe space, and being non-judgmental; are such a norm. Nobody is trying to fix anyone, only deep love, and respect. Isn’t it a beautiful world to live in?

I grew friendships at so many levels. Indonesia regional network is also one of a kind. I started the circle call on May 2021 and we became really good friends, not just online but also online. We started everything on Zoom like any other call, but finally, in September we meet offline. Though it’s not always a full house, I am so grateful for this circle, and I became really good friends (and also a business partner!) with one of them, Maria. She is like one of my best friends now! We catch up almost every week for coffee and of course, sharing. I am so thankful.

As a regional ambassador, one of the things that I do is also run Circle Call for South-east Asia Network with other ambassadors in the region too. It’s been an amazing year, in total we have held 7 Circle Calls, and we became really good friends as we support each other (hello, Dao, Pio, Fara, and Lawrence!). They are really amazing souls who are so committed to their spiritual and personal growth journey. I look up to them, they are my inspirations.

I also actively participated in the Singapore network, where we became really good friends too! I want to shout out to Fara and Amrys for always being active, insightful, and inspiring. I learn so much from them, they are really beautiful souls. Guess what, just a couple of weeks ago on my trip to Singapore we finally met in person! Ah, that was a really nice meet-up, four hours went by so fast. Now we are working on Lifebook together, and it’s just so lovely to witness the love and support we give to each other.

There are many I want to mention here too like Monica, Christina, Nidhi, Kay, Drina, mama Joy, Victor, Milie, Gina, Kak Sylvia, Mba Jero and so many more. Every person has a special place in my heart and again, I just feel so thankful to have met them in my life.

I celebrate all the beautiful connections that I made this year. It’s been nothing but blessings. I just couldn’t believe how much love and support that I have received during the year. I admire all of them and feel so blessed that we have crossed paths in this journey. This might not be forever ~ and that’s okay, but one thing I knew, I will forever cherish the connections I have created in 2021 deep in my heart.

I welcome 2022 with an open heart. ❤
