Love and friendship

I was feeling a little unproductive this week for several reasons. But then I remember a question that I ask myself every single day, “how can I serve one person today?”.

I decided to show up in my best abilities. I used this time of the week for deep diving into some topics that I always wanted to learn, organizing my work boards on Trello, scheduling my community meetups and connecting with loving friends. I just love connecting with people deeply, it nurtures my soul.

I realized that being in the place of service doesn’t have to be something big, it could be as simple as smiling to strangers, or for this week, for me it’s all about connecting and reconnecting with my good friends.

When I reflect today, I found myself feeling connected with the people I love the most. I simply texted them and asked if we could connect this week. And the good news is, as the world is now open, if they are in Jakarta, I can always ask them to go out to spend some time together!

Here’s what my connecting week looked like:

  • Checked-in regularly my soul friend who is feeling unwell this week, to see if I can be of any support and wish her to get well soon. She’s been my support system for the past couple of years and I want to support her as much as I can *sending lots of love and light
  • Held space for my best friend in processing her anger and grief through three hours of video call as she lives in the US. Though we have never met in person, I love her a lot and I’m so grateful for our friendship for the past two and half years (and counting!)
  • Received a call from a good friend in Sweden and listened to her share what she was going through. I shared my story too, and we inspired each other..
  • An hour-long zoom call with a good friend in the Netherlands through Zoom and held space for her. We’ve been friends for quite a long time since she was in Indonesia, I remember I visited her before the pandemic, and I’m so glad we’re still in touch..
  • A delicious lunch with my beloved ex-colleague who I always considered my sister, sharing our life updates and inspiration. I’m so proud of her and what she has accomplished in life.
  • An afternoon coffee with my best friend since junior high school and made time to meet her family for a bit. It was really fun catching up, it’s been a while since the last time we met. I love our friendship.
  • And finally, a long lunch with my “happy money and beyond” family.. we shared our stories of where we at, and opened the space for supporting each other. What a beautiful connection we have, it’s so special.

All in one week. I realized how rich my life is, surrounded by loving friends who love me unconditionally.

I’m so so blessed and grateful to have them in my life. ❤️

Have an amazing week, and may you are always surrounded by the people who love you the most. 🙏

With love,
Coach Inuk ❤️
