I always love journaling, especially these past few years. I started gratitude journaling about five years ago.. Almost every night before bed, I write down all the things that I feel grateful about that day. It helps me so much to focus myself on the good things no matter what. I’ve become more and more grateful for the small things… 🙏🏽
And today, I want to share how journaling has also helped me gain mental clarity.
Last week was mentally and emotionally challenging for me. I faced a big decision and couldn’t stop thinking about it.. It was heavy, I was really in my head so much. I knew what I had to do, but the constant thinking was draining me..
Finally, I decided to journal about it. And so I did!
I wrote down everything in my journal, how I see the issue and how I feel about it, and how I want to go from there. After four pages, I realized just how much was going on in my mind.”
I was like, oh, this is really helpful! 😀
Writing helped me get lots of thoughts out of my system. When I finished, I felt complete and no longer questioned my decision. I feel lighter and more grounded at the same time. It felt really good!

So, how can you benefit from journaling when your mind is racing?
1) Take a deep breath…
Focus on your breath for a few minutes to ground yourself. It can seem difficult to write when your mind is racing, but it’s often easier than you think.
2) Start writing… anything!
Just start writing.. don’t worry about the structure and how it looks like. Write down everything—the good, the bad, your situation, your feelings, whatever comes to mind—even if it feels messy. Let it all out.
You’ll eventually start to feel clearer and more organized. You might even find the answer or solution you’re looking for.
Want a little journaling inspiration? Try this:
“What is the most important thing that needs to happen this week?“
Feel free to share your thoughts in the comment.
Remember, you are meant to thrive, not just survive.
And if you ever need my support, I’m here for you.
Have an inspiring week! ✨
