A couple of weeks ago was so much fun for me. I had many social engagements, and one of my highlights was finally meeting my lecturers’ friends in person. We’d been communicating over WhatsApp discussing about lecture and stuff, and we finally had a really nice dinner together.
I also had a great time connecting with my friends and clients last week. I remember at the start of the week, I told myself to focus my energy on connecting with love that week. No agenda, only love. ❤️
It feels really nourishing just to connect with people from that space of love. After all, we are all human beings; it’s in our nature.
I recently read an email newsletter from Vanessa Van Edwards, and she shared some wonderful ideas on how to connect with people (what she calls social goals).
How about I challenge you this week to pick one of the ideas below? I gathered some ideas from Vanessa, and my personal favorites.
👉 Send a random “Thinking of you!” text.
👉 Be the first to wave or smile at a stranger. Share happiness.
👉 Initiate a meetup just to connect and catch up (less people, more intimate).
👉 Ask someone this question: “What’s the most exciting thing in your life right now?”
👉 Send someone a book or movie recommendation.
👉 Send a short voice note or quick video message instead of a text.
👉 Offer specific, genuine help (e.g., “Can I help you with that xxx ?”).
👉 Follow up on a detail from a past conversation (e.g., “How did that project/trip go?”).
👉 Give a sincere compliment about someone’s look, character or work.

If you feel called, let me know how it goes.
My wish for you is that you surround yourself with those who love and support you no matter what.
Remember, you are meant to thrive, not just survive.
And if you need my support, I’m here for you. ❤️
I’ve got your back.
With love and gratitude,
Inuk
