The Day I Decided to Become a Coach

My journey to becoming a coach started as long ago as I can remember. I recall my life being changed after I read “The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens” by Sean Covey in high school. But then, life kind of just happens…

About seven years ago, I went through a period of depression. That time was really hard, but it also became the start of something deep: I began my personal growth journey, truly taking a deep dive into myself.

Before, I always identified myself as a Marketer. My education was in Marketing too, and from the start, I really wanted to work for big ‘brands.’ I climbed up the corporate ladder, from staff to head of marketing, moving from one company to another and across different industries. Back then, I was really happy and felt fulfilled (though, of course, work stress was always there, but that was okay).

But on the other side, as I got more invested in personal development and got to know myself better, I became really fascinated.

I started to feel a strong calling to do something more. I realized I didn’t ‘fit’ in my old ‘container’ anymore. Even though I was happy there before, I didn’t feel fulfilled anymore. 🥹

There was a strong desire to align with my true self, the new version of me.

Something bigger was calling me…

Then, one morning, I woke up feeling numb. The thought of going back to the office felt impossible; I just couldn’t do it anymore.

That was the day I decided to become a full-time coach.

I quit my job. Honestly, it was bittersweet. It felt like I was leaving a huge part of my life behind, but on the other hand, I opened my arms, embracing the unknown. And that was in 2022, not long ago.

And here I am now, wholeheartedly pursuing my mission: helping people and businesses transform and create meaningful impact in the world.

I have never looked back.

And of course, the journey hasn’t been easy either; it actually feels more challenging. Though I don’t know what the future looks like, here’s the truth:

And that’s more than enough. 🙂

My question for you,

My wish for you is that if you haven’t, listen and maybe explore that voice, becoming more open to possibilities.

You are meant to thrive, not just survive.

And if you need my support, I’m here for you. ❤️

I’ve got your back.

With love and gratitude,
Inuk
