Embrace The Struggle

I’ve been struggling with a skin eczema condition in both hands (and it’s been 1.5 years!). I feel like I’ve tried everything, but it hasn’t gotten better. I even had some really dark thoughts about what the future looks like if it keeps getting worse.

It was during one of those moments that my coach reminded me to “grow through the Kensho moment.” This is a Japanese term for a sudden awakening or insight, often born from struggle.

Then, I watched a video from the Mindvalley quest by Monty Moran about “embracing the struggle in leadership” – it’s so insightful! In the same week, I also vented to my best friend, and she reminded me to accept my skin for what it is, not overthinking it.

Accepting doesn’t mean giving up altogether. I still go to the doctor; in fact, I’m still doing therapy and getting another test in 2 weeks. Acceptance means I’m ready to stop resisting reality and be open to support from the Universe.

The journey still feels long, but I am ready to accept it and learn the lesson it’s here to teach me. I’m learning about patience, acceptance, and gratitude – things I thought I had already mastered as a coach.

Well, I was wrong.

I’m still learning. every. single. day.

And this experience has really humbled me.

The journey isn’t always easy, but every morning, I am learning to lead my day with new positivity and hope. And in this process, I have found myself surrounded by people who love and support me through this journey. It’s just beautiful, and I’m grateful for the lesson it brought to my life. 🙏

When you’re ready to shift your perspective, here’s a simple practice you can try:

  • Find the struggle: identify an area of your life that you’ve been mentally complaining about or that feels overwhelming.
  • Decide to embrace it: instead of pushing against it, decide to accept it as part of your journey and find the lesson it holds for you.
  • Watch your day unfold: observe how your day changes when you lead with acceptance and positivity.

My wish for you is that you trust the journey you are in, knowing that everything happens for the highest good.

You are meant to thrive.

And if you ever need my support, I’m here for you. ❤️

With love and gratitude,
Inuk
