A couple of weeks ago, I facilitated a heartfelt check-in with the Project Maven community, a group of purpose-driven women leaders I hosted. It was a really nice call, reminded me that no matter our roles or titles, we are all going through challenges in life.
In our call, we shared so many insights and talked about the importance of coming back to ourselves during difficult times. Here are my key highlights:
- Remember that nothing lasts forever. Your challenges, no matter how overwhelming they feel right now, are temporary. This perspective helps us find a sense of peace in the present.
- Build rituals to keep you grounded. Simple practices like meditation, prayer, or journaling can help you stay centered. When you are feeling lost or disconnected, they can serve as a lifeline back to yourself.
- Give yourself permission to rest and recharge. It’s okay to slow down and take time for yourself. You don’t have to push through every single moment. Taking a break is an act of self-love, not a sign of weakness.
Sometimes, in the midst of a struggle, we forget that self-compassion is one of our most powerful tools.
Loving yourself through a challenge doesn’t mean pretending everything is okay; it means being kind to yourself while you are in the process of healing and growing. It means accepting your feelings without judgment. 🥹
So, how can you practice this?
This week, when you find yourself in a moment of struggle, pause and ask yourself:
How can I be more compassionate to myself right now?
It could be taking a short walk, drinking a warm cup of tea, or simply giving yourself a moment to breathe.

What about you?
What is one way you can love and support yourself through a challenge you are facing right now?
My wish for you is that you navigate your challenges with grace and come out the other side thriving more than ever
You are meant to thrive.
And if you ever need my support, I’m here for you. Always. ♥️
With love and gratitude,
Inuk
