Today’s blog article is a bit different. I decided not to write some insightful article as usual, but rather to share you some personal update..
It’s been a really difficult three months for my family. We have been going back and forth to the hospital as Bapak, my father, who was recently diagnosed with colon cancer, is in declining condition. Right now, we are back in the hospital, and things are really tough..🥺
I’m currently focusing completely on supporting Bapak and my family. Due to the risks associated with his age and, more importantly, honoring his wish, we as a family have decided to pursue palliative therapy. This means we will not be pursuing major procedures like surgery to treat his condition. but rather to make sure he is comfortable and surrounded by loved ones to his last day.
I understand that we all go to the other side eventually, but when it comes to a loved one, separation still feels hard. We don’t know yet how much time we have left, and while that is sad, I feel a growing sense of acceptance in my heart.. 🙏🏽
My focus now is to show up as much as I can to support my father and family, while also taking care of myself.
I’m looking for ways every day to feel more grounded, whether through my practices such as meditation, journaling, or sometimes just a simple, conscious breath. And most importantly, I am allowing myself to rest every now and then and letting myself be supported by my loved ones.
You may have noticed that I didn’t write to you last week. I’ve decided to adjust this Monday Break newsletter to be bi-weekly for a while, and I’m arranging my work schedule to allow me to take care of myself, support my family, and serve you (and my clients) in the best way possible.

During these moments, I feel the deeply of what I often said: strength isn’t just about pushing through, it’s about knowing when to pause, soften, and receive.
If you are going through a difficult season, please remember to give yourself the same grace you would offer a loved one.
I am sending all my love to you this week. ❤️
With love and gratitude,
Inuk
