This past Saturday, I had a Soul Connect call with Project Mavens, my community of purpose-driven women. I thought about our discussion this morning, while sipping my iced chocolate now in a coffee shop, reflecting on what we shared.
I thought I wanted to share with you some of my personal insights. And as always, take whatever resonates with your heart today, and leave what doesn’t:
1) Pivoting is an internal shift first
When we think about pivoting in our life, we often see the circumstances or some external changes, like when you’re making a big change in your life.
I realized the true pivot isn’t always visible from the outside right away. It starts with a subtle shift in our internal perspective, and when that internal narrative shifts, everything around us follows.
2) You don’t have to be a Superwoman
As women, we often get caught up in living by someone else’s definition of strength. But receiving help isn’t a weakness; it’s a gift.
Success looks completely different for every woman at every stage of life, and we get to choose what it looks like.
3) Empowerment has many faces
A big thank you to Ike for this reminder: empowerment can look different depending on access, education, and economic realities.
For one woman, it might look like chasing a big ambition; for another, it might look like caring for her family, or just going through the day.
So let’s drop the judgment and celebrate every choice. Honestly, I love women even more after this! 🥹
