I got really sick last week. The doctor said it was parainfluenza, and it completely knocked me down. For about four days, I was pretty much stuck in bed, mostly just Netflixing and playing games.
The first two days were the hardest physically and mentally.
And not just that, I felt powerless and useless. 😔
As much as I wanted to work, my body just rejected it. It was a hard “NO” (lol).
It turns out I was carrying a lot more stress in my body than I wanted to admit.
I talk a lot about slowing down and being in the present moment, but the truth is…
I’m struggling with that too. .
Since I’m usually so active and I love my job so much, being forced to stop was really hard for me. I found myself craving “productivity” when I was supposed to be resting.
But finally, I gave in. I let myself rest and let my family take care of me.
I’m learning to just stay back for a little while and trust that whatever I need to do will be waiting for me on the other side..

I don’t have any big “gems” or deep reflections today.
But I guess what I wanted to say is: it’s okay to slow down once in a while.
Life is happening in the present moment, even in the moments when you’re just resting.
Take care of yourself and please, listen to your body. It knows what it’s doing.
So, how about you. Do you feel like you need to listen to your body more?
My wish for you is that you listen and honor your body at any given time.
You are meant to thrive.
And if you ever need my support, I’m here for you.
I’ve got your back. ❤️
With love and gratitude,
Inuk
